You will know your Grease traps needs emptied as you will find a bad smell coming from the grease trap. The grease will also cause a blockage in the pipe work, then no more grease will be able to go into the grease trap causing it to overflow. If this happens you should phone your local grease trap operator.
Some grease traps do not need to be serviced depending on the type of the grease trap. For grease traps that do have to be serviced, it is recommended that you service them 2 – 3 times in the year. Book your service here.
There is no certain time span on emptying you grease trap. It all depends on the size of your grease trap and how often your grease trap is being used. It is advised for a very busy restaurant or hotel to get the grease trap emptied every 6 – 12 weeks. For a small restaurant for hotel it depends on the usage.
