DS Environmental Services were contacted by a valued customer to carry out the operation of Emptying an Odour Control Disposal Unit in a Sewage Treatment Plant based in Donegal. The initial stage of the operation was to have our highly experienced Health and Safety Officer provide a Risk Assessment and Method Statement ( RAMS). On completion of the RAMS our fully trained Confined Space Team entered the Odour Control unit and embarked on removing 300 cubic metres of ineffective contaminated control bark using a Crane, Excavator and Skip. Once emptied it was replaced with new bio-degradable wood bark. This project was completed ahead of schedule with no disruption to the daily operation of the plant. A very satisfied customer and a job well done by the Team at DS Environmental.
